TF Intl LEaRN – 2017 Young Asian Leaders Forum

Through the generosity of Temasek Foundation International (TFI) since 2007, Singapore Management University (SMU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) have been facilitating the Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking Programme to groom young Asian leaders in Asia.

On 19 October 2017, SMU hosted the TF Intl LEaRN – 2017 Young Asian Leaders Forum at the SMU Mochtar Riady Auditorium. It was a reunion for the 170 scholars who have participated in the learning journey with TFI.

Themed Youth Leadership: Social Impact Through Social Media, the forum aimed to give youths insights on how social media tools can promote a culture of giving, doing good and forging partnerships to better our ecosystem.

SMU was honoured to have four distinguished speakers (Mr Clement Ang, Director of Citi-SMU Financial Literacy Club, Ms Anne Lochoff, Strategic Business Advisor to the Asia P3 Hub hosted by World Vision, Mr Marcus Tan, Chief Executive Officer of AIQ Pte Ltd and The Carrot Patch and Mr Edwin Ker, Executive Director of Singapore Swimming Association) to share with our scholars on their experiences using the social media to create a social impact.

We would like to thank the four universities for the collaborative effort in organising the symposium. We would also like to thank Temasek Foundation International for their unwavering support and creating opportunities for our scholars to learn more than what was taught in the textbook.
