K H Tan Student Fund
Mr Tan Kwang Hwee has been a long-time supporter and friend of SMU. He established the K H Tan Bursary and Study Awards in 2009 and to date, over 67 students have benefitted from his generosity. Over the years, our alumni and students have forged close friendships with Mr Tan, as he continues to stay connected with many and shares his experiences with them. In commemorating his 10th year of support and his firm belief in helping SMU, he raised the bar by inviting his recipients to come together and embrace the spirit of giving back. To encourage all past and present recipients to contribute, the K H Tan Student Fund is established with Mr Tan’s unwavering commitment to match every donation, with the goal of raising $50,000 collectively.
So, join us and play a part to support financially-challenged students. You can choose to make a one-time gift or pledge your support for this fund over the next 2 years. All donations are eligible for 2.5 times tax deduction.
Every gift counts and will go a long way to build a community of students empowered to carry on this journey in helping SMU make a meaningful difference to the future!
