SCIS Ascent Fund

Since its founding in 2003, the School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) has grown into a vibrant and dynamic school at the forefront of computing, programming and technology development.

Yet for some students, financial pressures beyond tuition fees can affect their university experience — from covering daily expenses and essential learning equipment, to taking up valuable overseas opportunities.

With this in mind, we launched the SCIS Ascent Fund. The Fund provides non-tuition financial assistance in the form of cash grants ranging from $1,500 to $5,000 to full-time SCIS undergraduates facing financial hardship. Acting as a vital safety net, the Fund offers timely interim support so that financial challenges do not disrupt a student's education, wellbeing, or ability to participate fully in university life. 

Every contribution, regardless of size, brings us closer to being able to disburse these grants to students who need them most.
