The scholarship enabled me to pursue my studies at SMU without having to worry about my financial circumstances. I was able to lead an active student life and freely participate in my co-curricular activities because of the scholarship. I had the opportunity to intern at Bangkok Bank and the internship equipped me with skills and work experience for my future career. Not only did the scholarship relieve my financial burden, it also improved my quality of life, and allowed me to focus on studying, resting, and participating fully in university life.
I was given an internship opportunity where I was able to learn more about the insurance sector. Not only has it open up my mind about the corporate world but it has also expanded both my writing and communication skills. I feel valued as a part of their team. The bursary was crucial at the moment during my student life and gave me hope. Graduating soon, I hope to be able to give back to SMU.
