Eddie and Lindy Chang Study Mission Grants Endowed with $100,000
The Eddie and Lindy Chang Study Mission Grants is supported by Ivan Chang (BBM, 2014), a proud SMU alumnus and serial entrepreneur. Ivan co-founded Wonderlabs Ltd and Wonderlabs Foundation in 2018 with the vision to support philanthropic causes close to his heart. The grant will assist students who are qualified for aid and wish to embark on entrepreneurship-related study mission trips during their time at SMU, no matter their financial circumstances. The SMU experience has given Ivan many opportunities to develop and enrich his out-of-classroom learning, giving him a good head start in being successful in his business and personal life. As an active alumnus, Ivan volunteers his time and lends his network to champion alumni engagement activities. Having founded the SMUpreneurs Alumni Group, the largest network of SMU alumni entrepreneurs connected through a myriad of events and collaborations with the University, Ivan also created the Alumni Entrepreneurs Directory with over 225 registered alumni businesses and BizHub, an e-procurement portal for alumni businesses. The overseas study mission grants demonstrates Ivan's generosity and volunteerism to support SMU in honour of his parents, Mr and Mrs Eddie and Lindy Chang, who have been instrumental in spurring Ivan to support the less privileged in the community.
