Investing In Female Entrepreneurship

To inspire and support female students in their studies and encourage them to become successful entrepreneurs, Dr Doreen Tan donated $250,000 to establish the Dr Doreen Tan Endowed Entrepreneurship Scholarship at SMU.

As the Founder, Co-Chairman and President of Best World International Ltd, Dr Tan has a strong belief in building a person's capabilities to enable them to advance.

She hopes that the scholarship will reinforce women’s ability to lead in business circles, and emphasise the importance of women taking on leadership roles in society and industry.

Established in 2017, the scholarship is available to full-time female undergraduates at SMU majoring in Entrepreneurship, and paves the way for female undergraduates to pursue entrepreneurship.
