ISCA Cares Gives Budding Accountants a Leg Up

ISCA Cares Limited is a charity established by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) in 2015. The charity represents a collective effort of the accountancy profession to give back to the society which supported them in achieving success. It also signifies the efforts of the Institute, in its role as the national accountancy body, to provide a platform for the profession to support worthy and meaningful causes.

The ISCA Cares Bursary was launched at SMU in 2016, with the aim of providing students with quality accountancy education through financial assistance. Since its inception, 14 students at the SMU School of Accountancy have been supported in their journey towards the profession. In 2021, 3 students were awarded the bursary.

“Your gift has made it possible for me to pursue my studies without having to constantly worry about my tuition fees. I truly appreciate the time I have now to serve the community. Just as you have lightened the weight of financial concerns for my family and me, I hope to return this act of kindness to the community.”

“With your gift, I plan to continue helping communities in need, in particular the financial sectors of developing nations. An example would be the sustainability development goals adopted by the World Bank that aims to lift impoverished nations by fostering prosperity among all nations.”
