AMTD Foundation and Xiaomi Finance have made a generous contribution of $5 million to launch the AMTD-Xiaomi-SMU-ISS (AXSI) Digital Finance Leadership Programme. The AXSI Programme leverages the strengths of its four partners to provide in-depth digital business transformation and finance perspectives for senior leaders in Singapore and beyond. It aims to empower them to adopt a multidisciplinary approach in driving business success and leading the growth and development of FinTech and financial innovation. Participants comprising regulators, corporate leaders and FinTech entrepreneurs from China’s Greater Bay Area, Southeast Asia and other parts of Asia, will be effectively equipped with the expertise and skillsets to contribute meaningfully to the development of the digital finance sector through five days of learning journeys in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and Beijing, hosted by AMTD and Xiaomi respectively.
The AXSI Programme, which will have two runs each year, welcomed its first cohort of participants in December 2020. Each run will have up to 25 participants. The inaugural run was designed to coincide with the 2020 Singapore FinTech Festival, which brings insights from global thought leaders, showcases innovative solutions, and engages entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators from around the world.
