A School Committed To Bettering Communities

Since its inception in 2008, the School of Law (SOL) has made significant strides in educating and nurturing the future generation of lawyers. To mark the School’s 10th Anniversary, the SOL Imagine Better Campaign was launched between 1 August 2018 to 31 March 2019, in support of the SOL Impact Fund and the SOL Student Fund. In conjunction, an appreciation dinner for alumni and industry partners was held early in the year around the theme of giving — not just from individuals but from the School itself through the two funds.

The SOL Impact Fund supports various initiatives and programmes that would help the School give back to the community while the SOL Student Fund will provide financial support to its law students. The SOL Impact Fund will also help the student-led Law Outreach Club as they embarked on a year-long community service and outreach project. This includes public education around legal rights and liabilities, and imparting basic mediation skills to laypersons.

Other activities that the fund would help push include thought leadership events, seminars and lectures that would promote outreach and impact the legal industry in Singapore and Asia.
