SMU International Advisory Council (IAC)

Launched in 2017, the IAC is SMU’s key initiative to to establish, strengthen and deepen the University’s collaboration and engagement with the government, academic and business communities in key Asian countries. To date, IACs have been launched in Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Indonesia. Members of the IACs bring thought leadership from a wide range of sectors.

The SMU Industry Leaders’ Dialogues are one type of activity that is organised by the IAC and serves as a platform for industry leaders, academia and other stakeholders to share, discuss and debate pressing issues within their local communities.

More than an avenue for SMU to grow its network overseas, the IACs provide opportunities for SMU to create regional impact and international relevance for the University and its stakeholders.
