Supporting Aspiring Young Entrepreneurs to Realise Their Dreams

The G & Y Scholarship was established by two anonymous alumni (BSc(Econ), 2008 and BAcc, 2016) who had benefitted immensely from the opportunities they themselves had during their studies at SMU. When their paths crossed whilst working at a venture capital firm, they decided to pay it forward to enable more students to experience a holistic university education.

Four scholarships will be awarded over four years to full-time SMU undergraduates in financial need i.e. one scholarship to one student per year. The donors hope to support students who have shown tenacity to overcome challenges, and more importantly, cultivate students who are passionate to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams to learn, grow and build, and eventually go on to inspire philanthropy and social responsibility.
