UOB, SMU set up institute to help SMEs
A new institute has been set up to offer subsidised business consulting for SMEs. Launched by UOB and SMU, the institute aims to equip local firms with information and expertise to help them with their regional expansion. Director of the UOB-SMU Asian Enterprise Institute Ang Ser Keng said: "I think we are all driven by the quality of projects and what it can deliver to SMEs and what it can deliver to students in terms of learning... Learning about your market, learning about your customers, your employees, your operations, how to improve productivity – those are the things that become even more crucial in this market environment."
