Ensuring Access To A World-Class Finance Education
As SMU continues to deliver a transformative education, we strive to stay true to our commitment of ensuring that no deserving student is denied the opportunity to pursue a holistic higher education for want of financial support.
The Master of Science in Wealth Management (MWM) at SMU is ranked first in Asia and third in the world by the Financial Times in its 2018 Masters in Finance Postexperience ranking. It incorporates a unique overseas experience in Switzerland and the United States where students learn from top practitioners and academics, and are hosted by leading financial institutions who support this programme.
The SMU MWM Study Award Fund was established by the alumni from the MWM programme in 2015 to support financially needy students enrolled in any degree programme and the MWM programme. To date, six recipients have benefited from the study award. To ensure that the award can continue to support deserving students, the 15th Anniversary of the MWM programme saw alumni come together again to raise funds for an additional endowed study award, and to increase the value of the award per student overall.
"I am really grateful and honoured to be chosen for the SMU MWM Study Award. It has greatly motivated me to work even harder in all aspects and to be an all-rounder student. I would like to thank everyone that is involved in the selection process, and I strive to work harder so as to make similar contributions in the future."
