Launch of Dato’ Kho Hui Meng Career Centre Sunday Sep 30,2012

  • The Dato’ Kho Hui Meng Career Centre, a fully-renovated, state-of-the-art facility offering a range of comprehensive services, programmes and resources to SMU students for their career education, planning and development, was officially launched on 18 Sep 2012.  Named in recognition as part of a generous gift from Dato’ Kho Hui Meng, President of Vitol Asia Pte Ltd, the well-appointed Career Centre situated in SMU’s Administration Building would initiate the students into the corporate life, as well as help them formulate job search strategies, explore career-related interests and pursue internships or other experiential learning opportunities in a conducive setting. The opening ceremony was attended by some 150 guests.

“I hope that by equipping SMU students with the necessary skills and resources to make informed career choices, this Centre will help transform them to become active, ethical and grounded leaders of tomorrow and employees who will add value to the organisations and society they serve,” said Dato’ Kho. SMU President, Prof Arnoud De Meyer thanked Dato’ Kho for “believing in, and supporting our long-term education goals to nurture all-rounded and socially-conscious graduates from Singapore and the region.”
