Revitalising The Retail Scene In Singapore And Beyond

“Retail organisations will also benefit from research by our faculty experts, offering evidence-based insights of relevance to business and industry.”
Professor Lily Kong
5th President, SMU

As the first and only retail insight-sharing centre in Singapore, the Retail Centre of Excellence (RCoE) has a long-term goal of advancing Singapore as an Asia-Pacific Retail Hub.

The RCoE is a joint initiative by SMU, SPRING Singapore (now Enterprise Singapore) and the Economic Development Board. It will generate and share actionable insights for retailers in Singapore, Asia and beyond to ensure the retail industry remains healthy.

The centre will tackle challenges in the industry and help retailers improve both productivity and innovation through collaborations with industry partners.

The centre’s ties with the retail industry are highlighted through its group of founding members — namely, DFS, DBS, Decathlon, Harvey Norman, Ikea, Microsoft, Popular, Tiffany & Co and Visa.
