Kho Yu & Chan Sook Lien Exchange Scholarship further endowed with $66,334

Mr David Kho, who established the Kho Yu & Chan Sook Lien Exchange Scholarship in 2018, has made an additional endowed gift of $66,334 in 2019. The scholarship, in honour of Mr Kho’s late parents Mr Kho Yu and Madam Chan Sook Lien, continues to act as a platform for cultural exchange for SMU undergraduates at partner universities and Chinese undergraduates at SMU, who would foster new friendships and build a network of international connections. Mr Kho believes an overseas exchange programme is a life-changing experience that broadens students’ horizons exponentially and helps character-building. He hopes the scholarship will continue to ease the financial burden of needy students with aspirations of going overseas on an exchange programme.
